All has been quiet on the Michael Reese Meyers front since he entered rehab on May 1st but it didn't take more than two weeks for him to be making headlines again. Last night, Michael apparently was allowed a night out and was seen with none other than Rachel McAdams at the ultra upscale Tao restaurant in Venice Hills, California ($400 per table, reservations only). Michael looked well and was according to onlookers very "calm, relaxed, and happy". The two arrived in the same vehicle (Rachel was driving) at around 5:45 western time in the evening and left together around 7pm. 
A new rumor has surfaced that makes all this news all the more interesting. According to an "unnamed source" (isn't it always that way? lol) who claims to be a close friend of McAdams claims that the real reason Meyers suddenly decided to enter sex rehab was "he's been trying to get with Rachel for forever and she demanded he go to rehab and get his issues worked out in order for him to have a chance with her", the "friend" tells Popeater.com. Who knows how true this is but it certainly would explain alot. We will keep you all updated.Updated: Dr. Drew Pinsky via twitter has responded to some people who have questioned whether or not Michael should be allowed out while still in rehab saying: "Rehab is not prison. Especially not sex rehab. All patients are voluntary and can leave at anytime they wish. If they wish to stay in the program, they must not be gone longer than 3 hours and cannot take part in any activity that may be harmful to their recovery. Michael did nothing wrong and we encourage patients to spend time with visitors during this very lonely and difficult time".
