DJ David Guetta working with Meyers on second Chants of Reign album?
World famous music producer and DJ David Guetta recently mentioned in an interview he had with Fandango Magazine that he has been "hanging with actor Michael Reese Meyers alot lately" and that the actor "has really been itching to get back in the studio and record another album" with his group Chants of Reign. They released a CD in December 2009 titled "These Empty Streets and The Lonely Heart That Still Beats" which featured the songs "With This Knife" and "Love Misled", both of which were singles. Meyers wants Guetta to produce some tracks for the album and hopes to have it in stores by the end of 2012, according to Guetta. Sounds good to me. Many actors, such as Jared Leto of 30 Seconds to Mars and Ev Rachel Woods of Dryleaf, have been able to successfully go back and forth between acting and music and Meyers, if he wants to, should be able to do it too. Guetta did mention Meyers wanted the second album to have a more "uplifting feel" compared to the "depressing, dark, brooding, hopeless, melancholy mood of the first record". Guetta also interestingly added, "I think he is fueled or inspired by the women in his life. That's where his music comes from. I think maybe he is waiting to fall in love again so he can write some more happy positive stuff".
