Michael Sent to and Released from Hospital

Close call. While filming The Devil's Double today Michael felt his "heart rate increase rapidly" and also had some "shoulder pain" as well as "trouble breathing" and was taken to a nearby hospital close to the movie's Santa Fe, New Mexico set. He was checked out by doctors and released a few hours later. According to hospital reports, "Meyers had been experiencing some severe pain and soreness in his feet and legs dating back to some injuries he sustained while filming a picture in Canada recently and was taking prescription pills for the pain. Apparently these medications had an adverse reaction with all the caffeine he had been consuming on the set of his current picture and today it all caught up with his body. We treated him, consulted him on what went wrong, what to do from here on, and he was released and should be fine". No other reports have been released and Michael has not made any statements.

This is clearly good news that it was nothing more serious but it also raises many questions. Is his pill addiction arising again? Hopefully not. Also, he did mention at San Diego's recent Comic Con that while filming Alien: Genesis (the Canada film they refer to here) that one of the hardest parts of shooting the film was the heavy astronaut suits and prosthetics he had to wear playing a cyborg and how it was hard on his legs and very tiring, but there was no mention of "injuries" to his feet or legs. As we all know, many pill addicts start their addiction due to physical injuries which make them dependent on the drugs. If he is dealing with lingering pain then his addiction to pills, something he seemed to have kicked for a while, could resurface. That would not be good at all. We pray for Michael's health and will keep you all updated on the matter.
