Pictures of Michael at pre-Oscar party in Los Angeles

Here are a few photos of Michael at a pre-Oscar party in Los Angeles, CA Saturday which was hosted by Sandra Bullock. James Franco, his best friend, was also there. Franco is co-hosting the Sunday night Oscars with Anne Hathaway and is also nominated for Best Actor for his performance in 127 Hours. As you can see, Michael cut his hair, which was rather long for If I Had You, to a low buzz cut, most likely to fit the wig he will be wearing as Olga in Roman Polanski's The Boy Who Got Away. That starts filming in March in Sweden with co-stars Daniel Day-Lewis and Daniel Craig. In other news, Michael spent much of the day with his grandmother who had been hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai with internal bleeding. We hope all is well. We know Meyers is very close to her and speaks of her often, admitting he gets much of his love for British culture from her (she is half English). Lorraine Meyers, who is his mother's mother, is 80 years old.

Michael's Brief British TV Interview on the set of 'If I Had You'

Yesterday Michael appeared briefly on a British morning entertainment talk show called Morning Tea from the London set of If I Had You and spoke about his role in the film, working with Keira again, the director, why he feels so at home in England, why he wants to take less 'psychotic' roles, and of course, the rumors about him and Rosie. You can click on the above photo to watch the video interview or simply read the transcript here:

Q: So you play a bad boy. The classic bad boy every girl falls for at some point. That must've been quite easy for you, yea?
A: Well the thing is he isn't bad anymore. My character used to be a drug addict but he's changed his life around. Owns his own top of the line restaurant now. He's a legitimate business man now. But Keira's character, she still isn't sure if he's truly changed. And neither is the audience really. So I spend a majority of the film trying to prove to her and you the viewer, I've changed. I gotta get her trust back. And on top of that she has the issue with her husband, played by Sam Worthington. She thinks he's having an affair, but she doesn't have any proof. And even if he is, does that make it right for her to have one with me? So she's in quite the dilemma and I'm not making it any easier. My character, he's a lot like me. He's very persistent.

Q: Speaking of Keira, this is your first time acting with her since Bend It Like Beckham, almost a decade ago. How's has that reunion been?
A: It's been marvelous. Absolutely amazing. She's one of the most intriguing, interesting, smartest, toughest, funniest, sexiest human beings on the planet so a day working with her isn't really working. It's a joy. And almost all my scenes are with her. So we got a lot of alone time to act and just hang (out). She's improved so much as an actress since then, as have I. So now, dealing with such mature characters and such a meaty storyline, we can handle it with so much more authority now since me and her are veterans in the game now. So it's easier. Plus she's a blast to hang out with off set, so it's great yea. She's like a sister to me, or a cousin really. I missed her a great deal.

Q: And you mentioned the director, Cameron Crowe, was another massive reason for your excitement to do this film, no?
A: Yes. Of course. I mean he is in my opinion one of this generation's finest American filmmakers. Love and romance is a huge issue to tackle in film and he does it in maybe the best way I've seen since those old classic American romantic comedies of the 50's. His films have this epic feeling to them and the music is always such an amazing part of that experience. So much so that even in real life, when you are doing something romantic or having a great moment with someone you love, you almost feel like the only thing missing is some great piece of music playing in the background to accentuate that moment, haha. And Cameron does that better than anyone. Jerry Maguire was such a classic, defining film. You Complete Me, You Had Me At Hello. Those are timeless lines. His films just give you such a warm feeling, it makes you wanna run out of the movie theater and fall in love, haha. And for him to take on England, his first time doing a British story, was so interesting to me. Then when I found out about the cast, I knew I had to be apart of it.

Q: And you have been quite vocal recently as well as in the past about your fondness for England...
A: Oh yes. I love it here. I don't know why but I just do. I think maybe in a past life I was British, haha. The people are just so nice here. I mean there's a pompousness in the same way Americans have their arrogance, but it's not the same. Brits are very giving. Americans are very selfish. I think that's the biggest difference. It's just small little culture differences really. It's hard to explain.

Q: You're not exactly known to take on roles like this. In fact you have been quoted that you felt August Rush was a waste of time and now it seems like you're looking for these types of romantic leading man roles and less the bad guy or second in command bad guy roles that made you famous.
A: Yea I'm growing up. You can't be a crazy screamer in every role. Subtle nuanced acting is an art in and of itself, Sean Penn and Gary Oldman both told me that. When I did August Rush I was bored because the character wasn't crazy enough or challenging enough so I ignored all the opportunities I had to breathe life into him. I am making an effort to take on more roles like this, like Brotherly Love, ya know? Simple dramas. Just normal acting. No need to kill and rape, haha. I want my female fans to be able to see me in something where I'm actually a nice guy for once. I always have them watching me be some psychotic asshole and I think it's gotten a bit old. I actually think it takes more courage to take a role like this and fully put yourself into it than it takes to just go nuts and portray a caricature in something like 3:10 to Yuma or Pelham 123. I'm working on it.

Q: Now of course we must ask, are the rumors about you and Rosie Huntington true? Are you two an item?
A: An item? I dunno. Ask her. I don't know where we stand. How's it work over here? Where do people stand after one date? In the States we'd call this 'talking'. Me and her are 'talking' to each other. Boyfriend, girlfriend? No. Not yet. But I'm so glad I met her. She's a stunning girl. Just stupid to look at. This is going to be a big year for her, between Transformers 3 and this film and the horror film she's shooting in Brazil this summer. She's also gonna take acting lessons in the fall. So she's serious about this (acting) thing. I'm proud of her. There's no frills there. Just a simple girl. She makes me laugh. She has a smile that can destroy you. She's really great. I think I found a keeper!

Michael here:::New BLOG!!!

Hey fans and friends, Michael here! I just wanted to stop by and give you all some energy!!! Gonna update on a BUNCH of stuff so bare with me and enjoy.

Yes I am still here in lovely London town shooting If I Had You with Keira, Sam, and Rosie. It has been a blast! Truly one of the best experiences I've had making a movie. Love this cast, love this city, and I think you will all really love this film when it comes out in the fall.

Yes the rumors are true I am in talks to star in Oliver Stone's next film, The Devil's Double. I've always dreamed of a movie role where I have to play two different characters in the same film and I feel I have finally found it. It's an honor to work with such a legendary and gifted filmmaker like Mr. Stone. We are working on the script and rounding out the cast so look for that movie in 2013.

I am very busy this year with filming some cool projects. Next up is The Boy Who Got Away with Daniel Day Lewis. I will be shaving my hair and losing weight to portray this punk rocker goth chick/prostitute named Olga who is a suspect in the investigation of the murdered son of a politician (played by Lewis). It is by far the sickest, strangest, weirdest film I have EVER been apart of and it will shock you all what happens in this film. Just you wait!!!!

My sci-fi space movie Tears of the Sun comes out next month on March 25. Also look for Look At Me Now in New York and L.A. at select theaters coming out March 4! Please support it and shout outs to my BFF Sasha Grey for pushing the film on her Twitter PAGE! I am also looking forward to working with Deirdre O'Hara on Trust Me later this year...oh and yes for all those asking, next year we are STILL working on Spike Lee's Michael Jackson movie. I already hired a dance instructor to help me with my moon walk haha. To all the Secrets N Sunsets/I Bit a Vampire fans, I spoke with Alley yesterday for a good hour and a half and she is doing much better. She will be in rehab for another 30 days or so and then be good to go. Keep her in your prayers.

Congrats to my boy James Franco on hosting the Oscars and his nomination for 127 Hours. I will be flying to L.A. the day before the Oscars to join him at a Pre-Oscar party that's being thrown by Sandra Bullock.

For everyone wondering what I will do about my neck tattoo, I got an idea that will cause some shockwaves but I won't do it until I see where things go with my new relationship...in fact speaking of that...here's a video of my boo in Daytona, Florida yesterday with her Transformers 3 director Michael Bay and co-star John Cena at the Daytona 500! I miss her already. She looks fine doesn't she????
Talk to you all soon and don't forget, after If I Had You wraps I will be in Sweden for 6 weeks shooting The Boy Who Got Away then once May and June come around we will start the Quantum of Solace media blitz! We're comin'!!! Look out for the announcement of who is singing the title song sometime in March as well. I already know who it is and it's a GREAT choice. I know SHE will rock it lol! Until next time....

Michael and Rosie Seen Kissing and Dining in London

It's definitely official. Michael and Rosie are dating. They were spotted kissing and eating at a restaurant in London, where they are filming their romantic drama If I Had You. They're characters in the film never interact so there's no question that they aren't filming scenes. Popeater.com has more photos HERE.

Michael in talks to be Oliver Stone's "Devil"

According to Deadwire.com, Michael is in talks to star in a political action thriller for legendary director Oliver Stone called "The Devil's Double". The story, which is adapted from a best selling novel, is about a former Iraqi soldier named Latif Yahia (who wrote the novel) who due to his uncanny resemblance to Uday Hussein (son of Saddam) was forced to become his body double during a time when many assassins were trying to have Uday killed. Michael is supposed to play both Uday and Latif. If you google pictures of them it becomes clear Michael will have to tan, gain weight, change his eye color, and grow a very thick mustache in order to come close to resembling these guys, but if anyone can do it, it's him. It should be cool to see Michael playing two different characters in the same film. The article also states Stone wants to fine tune the script over the next year and then begin filming sometime in 2012 for a 2013 release.

Michael and Rosie Huntington Dating?!?!?

I guess Michael meant it when he said he was sticking to Brits from now on. Despite all the speculation that Michael and the recently single Keira Knightley, who worked together 9 years ago on a film, would date on the set of their film If I Had You, it turns out we hooked him with the wrong co-star. Also in the film is super sexy supermodel Rosie Huntington, a British born model who landed the love interest role in this summer's Transformers 3: Eve of Destruction replacing Michael's ex Megan Fox. Rosie has never acted before Transformers 3 and If I Had You is her second film ever. Rumors are swirling the two "hit it off immediately" on set and that the two are "enamored with each other" and "hardly spend anytime apart". Sources say they spent Valentine's Day together and they are clearly beginning to see each other romantically. No proof or pictures yet but if this is true, they may just rival Brad and Angelina for the world's hottest couple! WOW!!!! Here's some photos of Rosie....

P.S. For those who want a little extra info on her, her full name is Rosaly Alexis Catherine Huntington...she was born on November 25, 1990 in Middlesex, England to a very poor family. She has an older sister named Brittany, a younger half sister and a younger half brother. Her parents divorced when she was 6 and her mother remarried 3 years later. Rosie began modeling when she was 15 and competed on Tyra Banks' America's Next Top Model show in 2008 and won (becoming the youngest contestant to ever win at the age of 18). That same year she began dating action star Jason Statham but in 2009 she reportedly cheated on him with Portuguese soccer star Alfonso Rinaldo. In 2009 she also inked a deal with Victoria's Secret and has been featured in several of their TV commercials (most of which directed by Michael Bay, who then put her in Transformers 3) and print campaign. In 2010 she was linked to many men ranging from British soccer players to Mexican models. Personality-wise she seems to be quite the partier and man chaser so Michael may have his work cut out for him (if he is looking for a serious relationship). She is known to be quite the marijuana smoker and there was some controversy in 2009 when she was photographed clearly high at a runway show. She has no problem posing nude and in a 2010 interview for Maxim magazine she mentioned she likes to be handcuffed during sex, enjoys "rough, loud love making", and went through a period in her life where she was "having sex with random men for no reason at all". Maybe her and Michael have more in common than we think....

Michael wants to finally change Mel tattoo?

Hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day! Rumors out of London, where Michael has been filming his latest film If I Had You, are saying that he has been over heard wanting to alter his Mel tattoo on his neck. One unnamed source claims "He's officially over her and looking at it makes him sick. He would never say it but I think he regrets it now. He wants to move on". The source also claims he is not looking into laser removal (which is quite painful, doesn't always take away the entire tattoo, and is also much more expensive, although money clearly wouldn't be an issue for him) but instead he wants to add letters to the tattoo to spell something else, ala "Melt" or "Melted". Johnny Depp did something similar many years ago when he divorced actress Winona Ryder and changed his Winona Forever tattoo on his arm into Wino Forever. Glad he's finally come to his senses. Although with how adamant he's been in the past that he'd keep it as a reminder, something tells me something more than his own desires is playing into this decision, as in maybe someone new in his life wants it gone. Keira perhaps? Hmm...who knows???
