Michael to play shape shifting online predator in new Deirdre O'Hara film

In a recent AP interview, Irish female film director Deirdre O'Hara mentioned that her next film will be about a young teen (played by up and coming 12 year old True Grit actress Shaenece Richards, daughter of Denise, pictured above) who gets lured into the trap of meeting an adult online predator. She mentions that Michael will play the internet predator in the film and that she has been trying to work him since 2003 when they first met in her office for an audition and she also says his role in the film is somewhat similar to what Gary Oldman did in Dracula or what Val Kilmer did in The Saint, or more accurately, what John Malkovich did in In The Line of Fire. "His character changes his image and identity quite often as he goes from state to state luring young girls to meet with him from the internet, date rapes them and moves on to the next victim" she says. The film will shoot in early 2012 for a Fall 2012 release.

P.S. O'Hara has never worked with Meyers before but the two have both touched the same franchises twice. O'Hara directed the first Popular movie in 2004 and Michael starred in 2006's Popular 3. In 2000 O'Hara became the first ever female director to direct a James Bond film with The World Is Not Enough (which starred Shaenece's mom Denise) and of course Meyers will be playing Bond in next year's Quantum of Solace.

Michael and Mila Done? Back with Sasha Grey?

Well that didnt last long. Drama drama drama. Michael just can't stay with one girl. Here we go again! Many fans and others have commented that Michael Reese Meyers and Mila Kunis didn't "fit" as a couple (he normally goes for the ultra sexy, very confident type, Mila is more goofy and tomboyish) and it turns out...they were right. According to reports from both TMZ and PopEater.com, Mila and Michael have broken up their 3 week relationship. She was spotted in L.A. Christmas Day leaving a gym and reports say she left Miami "weeks ahead of schedule" according to friends, and "in tears and heart broken". The two were supposed to spend the holidays there with her parents who reside on South Beach, but she supposedly found explicit text messages in Michael's phone between himself and.....wait for it....porn star SASHA GREY! His former girlfriend from 2007 and 2008. So much for Michael being a new and improved, not sex obsessed nicer drama free guy in 2011! One unnamed source who is a close friend of Mila's says "She's absolutely devastated right now. She really thought he had changed and was a sweet guy but she was wrong." Stay tuned for more info as we get it....

Michael and Mila Make Out at Red Lobster//Comments on Mel and Miley

Today Michael and Mila were spotted at Red Lobster in West Hollywood kissing and now they cannot deny they are dating. After leaving some TMZ camera men caught up with them and they stayed quiet about their "relationship" but Michael did open up when asked about Mel's recent comments and also about Miley Cyrus smoking a bong. On Mel he says "I'm glad she told the truth. I kept it quiet for a lot of reasons but it shows her maturity that she was able to step up and admit to what she did and what we went through. It seems like a lifetime ago." On Miley: "Come on man it's a bong. Weed, Salvia, whatever it is, leave the girl alone. She's doing what any other 18 year old is doing and it's a legal substance here in California so what's the big deal. Just because you start out doing stuff like Hannah Montana doesn't mean you will be squeaky clean forever. Look at the video me and her did. Let the girl grow up man." You can see the pictures and TMZ video HERE.

MEL MORLEY: "We were abusive towards each other"

She finally speaks! Mel Morley while on location in Baton Rouge, Louisiana filming the final two Twilight films, has been giving an interview with website BritishBeauties.net. It is apart of their Supper With... series where they sit down with English actresses over dinner (they call it supper over there lol) and chat it up. Mel, who is notoriously private about her relationships finally admits to all her relationships. The actress has had five boyfriends in her entire life, all of whom are actors (Jamie Bell, Michael Reese Meyers, David Hencher, Robert Pattinson, and Andrew Garfield). In this extensive interview, which is the third segment in a series of 5 segments, she is asked about each of these relationships. The juicy stuff is when she gets to Michael. The interviewer asks the much rumored about question that Meyers was abusive toward her (a leaked audio tape of the filming of an episode of The Best Tears where Morley's character Belle throws a milk shake at Meyers' character Jayden revealed her saying to Meyers 'what are you gonna do, slap me again?'). Ever since then there has been speculation but both actors kept mum. Well now finally, one of them, speaks out.
Mel says: "Let me clear up some things. I don't want to make Mike out to be the villain. We were abusive towards each other. Verbally, physically." (when asked, 'so you hit him and he hit you?') She replies: "Yes. I'd hit him, punch him. It was quite awful really. I was mostly verbally abusive though, more than anything. And he to me as well. He only actually hit me once, he slapped me one night. We had a row over something quite stupid. He was explaining some script to me he was writing and I wasn't paying him my full attention he felt since I was on the computer chattin with a friend from England I hadn't got a chance to say bye to before I left. And you know the time difference over there. When I'm awake she's asleep and vice versa. So we were both finally online at the same time and he didn't like that so he unplugged the computer, not knowing on one of the other screens I had a paper I was writing that I hadn't saved. So that was completely gone. Erased. I was livid. So we start goin' at it. Like we usually do. And so I go to hit him and he pushes my fist away and slaps me. Hard. I start to cry. And instantly he' s like, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry. We just made each other miserable, we really did. Everyday was a fight. Drama. He was just very controlling but at the same time I don't think I was ready for love. He wanted something from me I wasn't quite ready to give yet. It pushed me away more than anything. And after I ended it he couldn't take a hint and became quite obsessed, which just made it worse. At that point I didn't feel very safe. It was awful. I wanted to just go home but I couldn't. I had to stick it out. I had alot of great friends there for me. I wouldn't have gotten through it if it wasn't for them."
When asked what she thought of his neck tattoo of her name she says "I told him not to do it. He said to me, I'm gonna get it, I'm gonna get it. I was like, you better not and he fuckin did it". She also comments on him being quite immature at times but very romantic, and that they did get along at times. When asked how it was to reunite for Inception she replies: "It wasn't too bad actually. So much time had passed. I think we both were over it at that point. We just came to work and then of course because of him it turned into something much more, which I didn't want at all. It was quite a blur actually. All I remember was realizing that we could make truly great friends if he'd just let it go, but I don't think he ever will." When asked 'do you think he's still in love with you' she replies "I have no idea. I hope not. For his sake. I wouldn't want to love me...I can be very, difficult."

Here is the video of the entire interview. Enjoy!

Michael Signs on for Vin Diesel's action flick Redemption

Actor and action superstar Vin Diesel posted something very interesting on his official Facebook page yesterday and accompanied the post with this very strange photo of himself and some random tiger in a forest, both with glowing turquoise green eyes. Ok??? Anyway. In the post, which mostly talks about how his management is shocked that he runs his own Facebook page and the announcement that he will be debuting the teaser trailer for the fifth Fast and Furious film (titled 'The Fast and the Furious: Fifth Gear', opening April 27, 2011) on his Facebook page this coming Tuesday Dec. 14, he also mentions at the end that he is also producing and starring in a revenge thriller called 'Redemption' which will be directed by Dominic Sena (Invincible, Whiteout) and executive produced by Michael Bay (Transformers films, Armageddon, Bad Boys films). He mentioned that they are casting right now and plan to start shooting next summer for a summer 2012 release.

Where Michael gets mentioned is when Vin says: "We got a sick cast for you. We got some sexy ladies like Carla Gugino, Moon Bloodgood, and Abbie Cornish on board. We got Billy Bob Thornton playing a dirty cop whose after me. And we also got an Australian assassin for hire on my tail who I just learned will be played by none other than the best young actor working today, Mr. Michael Reese Meyers. I met the young man for a test read the other day at my office in L.A. and I gotta tell you, the guy is somethin'. He can do ANY accent, with no practice. We were looking at alot of really good Australian actors but Michael called us interested in the part after reading the script and after one meeting, we knew the part was his. No one else's. You guys aren't ready for this film. It's like a 70's throwback with some real good heart and tons of awesome twists. We are fine tuning the script right now and I promise it will be one of the best films I've ever done. Very deep, very spiritual, and very bad ass. Game on!"

Sounds kinda cool. The character doesn't seem like the deep and complex types of roles Michael normally goes for but we don't know much about him yet and Michael must've seen something in him to be interested in the part so I guess we will have to wait and see. Can't hurt to have two of the hottest men in Hollywood (Vin and Michael) in the same film, right?

Meyers brings Kunis to Fighter premiere//Interview with E! News

Well they claim they aren't dating but they are spending an awful lot of time together! Michael took Mila to his Los Angeles premiere of his new boxing film "The Fighter". They didn't kiss or do anything overly affectionate but they did hug and laugh alot. Who knows? Anyway, Meyers did not speak much but did give an extended interview of sorts to E! News correspondent Ben Lyons. Here's the exchange:
When asked what the hardest part of the role was for him Meyers said, "This was probably up there with Malibu's Most Wanted as one of my hardest physical transformations I ever had to make. I had to gain a lot of weight. Put on a lot of muscle. It was a lot of training and it was tough at times for sure, but it was so much fun. Growing up, before I discovered acting, I wanted to be a boxer. So it was like a dream come true to be able to train like a real boxer for 6 months and shoot this for two months and be a real boxer so to speak for 8 months essentially. It was a blast".
On working with such a great cast: "It was amazing. Everyone in the film I think gives arguably the best performance of their career. Mark was super dedicated. He trained for years. He got in insane shape. He brought Marky Mark back, making every man in America jealous. I think he'll get an Oscar nod. This story means so much to him. He's a Boston guy. He's a boxing fan. He was a big supporter of Mickey Ward. He was a hero to the Boston sports area. He is producer as well on this film and it meant alot to him to finally get this film made after all the struggles, losing actors, switching directors, all the setbacks. He never gave up hope and just soldiered forward to get this story made because it's truly one of the greatest true boxing stories in sports history. What sucks is this is my second film with Christian Bale and once again I hardly got to work with him. I saw him on set a couple times on 3:10 to Yuma, seemed like a nice guy. But only one scene together. Here we have no scenes but we hung out quite a bit on set. I made it a point to pick his brain and see how he works. He's a machine. He's so tuned in it's not even funny. In my opinion he steals the film and if he doesn't get the Oscar something is wrong. Very very wrong. I played a drug addict before and I've seen great drug addict performances before but what Christian does in this film takes it to a whole new level."

On injuries: "Yea I got banged up. Sure. Broken fingers, broken rib, broken jaw. But Mark got banged up too. But that's what we signed up for. It comes with the territory. It's a real man's man film. A throwback to Rocky and Raging Bull. Old school boxing classic films. That's what we were going for so we had to shoot it that way. And the director of the film, David O. Russell, he trained as a boxer for something like 15 years I believe so he knows this world inside and out. He was perfect."
On the reputations of himself, Mark, Bale, and Russell for having tempers and how they got along on set: "Oh it was so peaceful it was like summer camp, haha. Come on. I mean, all that stuff is blown out of proportion. Mark is not the guy he was as a teen. He went through alot but he is the biggest Catholic in Hollywood right now. He's so calm and collected. Just a sweet guy. Bale got caught up in one bad moment on Terminator Salvation that got recorded and now he gets pegged as some hothead but from working with him twice now I can tell you that couldn't be farther from the truth. He is such a shy and cerebral and hard working guy. And David (O. Russell) was great too. Is he intense? Is he tough? No nonsense? Sure. He's a real salt of the Earth kind of guy. He doesn't sip lattes and talk about nature. He's a beer drinking do it yourself kind of man's man. But he was very cool on set. I liked working for him. So yea everyone got along."
On how he met Mila and if they're dating: "We got the same weed dealer! Haha. No, um, James Franco, my friend, he introduced us. I am directing her in a commercial and she is in it. She's great. We're just two crazy animals in a crazy crazy world just trying to have some fun ya know? Plus she worked with Mark in Max Payne and Date Night and wanted to see him again."
On James Franco's Oscar chances: "You know he is gonna be so pissed at me because I haven't seen it yet but I got to see it soon. Of course I will be rooting for him. That's my boy." (after being asked if he will be there to see him host) "Oh no. He said he doesn't want me there. He'll be too nervous. And I get it. He didn't come when I was nominated. We're weird like that. We will congratulate each other afterwards if we win, but not on the night, no. Too awkward."
On what actors he'd like to work with: "Um. Well I'm about to do a film with Daniel Day Lewis. I'm kinda nervous about that. But I'm excited. I dunno. Sean Penn. Anybody good. I wanna work with some legends, some veterans. Test myself. Outside of guys like Franco, DiCaprio, Ryan Gosling, no one in our generation really excites me right now. I dunno."

Mila Kunis denies relationship with Michael on The Talk

Today Mila Kunis was on the new talk show called The Talk (similar to The View) hosted by Leah Remini and Sharon Osbourne, amongst others. She was there to promote her new ballet dancing thriller Black Swan co-starring Natalie Portman. Of course she was asked about what's going on with her and Michael. When asked if they were dating she smiled and said "My lips are sealed". When asked how they met she said: "Well actually he is a director as well and he's directing his first commercial in L.A. this week and it's for a great suicide prevention charity that I'm a huge fan of called To Write Love On Her Arms. He contacted me via Facebook saying that he wanted me to star in it. I asked him why me and he said he's a fan and actually his best friend is James Franco, who I've worked with before. Once on a movie called Date Night and again on this Funny or Die skit we did where we spoof that MTV show The Hills. Which is funny since I was spoofing a girl Michael dated once haha! But yea James told him about me and he met with me over lunch and he wanted me to star in the commercial and I was like sure, but in this town a guy and a girl can't eat food together unless they are dating so...it is what it is you know? I'm used to it now." When asked, "so we won't see you two out and about together?" She goes: "Look, he's a nice guy. He's not what people think he is. He's going through a transition phase right now. I can tell he wants to tone down the partying, the drama, the craziness, just focus on his acting, staying clean, staying sober, staying positive. He's a funny guy. He's really funny and sweet and genuine and kinda shy. I love that. I think he's a cool guy and if we hang out we hang out. I don't see it as some big deal."

Michael and James Franco leave court...charges dropped

Today Michael and James Franco had their court hearing at Los Angeles municipal court for their arrests in June of this year for DUI and resisting arrest. Apparently, the cops who arrested Franco and Meyers did not show up so the charges have been dropped! Meyers is especially lucky since he was still serving his year long probation (from his June 2009 arrest at JFK airport) when this arrest was made and if convicted he would have been in violation of that probation and could have possibly served some jail time (in addition to any possible jail time this sentence may have given him). Lucky break for him and Franco and let's hope they dont' get themselves in this situation again. Both are so young and talented and have alot going for them. There are some photos from PerezHilton.com of them leaving the courthouse this morning and goofing off for the cameras. You can tell their friendship is as tight as ever and they truly enjoy having fun together (although, sometimes TOO much fun, haha). In fact rumors are saying it was Franco who introduced Meyers and Mila Kunis (Franco and Kunis did a film called Date Night as well as a Funny or Die skit making fun of MTV's The Hills where Kunis plays Meyers' ex, Audrina)...in fact, speaking of Mila...
P.S. Tomorrow Mila Kunis is scheduled to be promoting her new film Black Swan on The Talk, a new all women hosted 'The View-like' talk show hosted by Leah Remini, Sharon Osbourne and several others. Let's see if she talks about Michael, since she'll probably be asked about him. She is notorious for dodging questions about her love life (and Michael even seems uncharacteristically coy about their status) so we will see if they can get anything out of her. I wouldn't get my hopes up but you never know. Also this Friday is the premiere of The Fighter. Michael is scheduled to attend. Let's see if he shows up solo or with a certain Miss Kunis. That should answer once and for all what's what....

Michael Spotted Having Lunch with Mila Kunis & Responds to Portman Comments

Hmmmm...very interesting. Mr. Celibate was seen today in L.A. having lunch at Delicatessan with actress Mila Kunis. Paparazzi caught the two laughing it up pretty loud and being quite chummy but nothing 'obviously' romantic. Maybe new friends? Maybe more? Who knows? When TMZ caught up with both of them as they left Mila ignored all questions (and seemed quite drunk, requiring Michael's assistance to help her walk straight) while Michael when asked his response to Natalie Portman's recent COMMENTS about him, porn, and keeping her distance from him on the set of their film Brotherly Love, replied "You know what? Listen. I have nothing bad to say about her. I would have done the same in her shoes knowing how I was then. I dont' blame her. It hurts but it's no one's fault but my own and all I can do is show people I've changed. I promise in 2011 people will see a new Mike'. When asked if he and Mila were on a date he said 'No'. The pair hid from camera men for a while by ducking into a Duane Read store briefly before hopping into Meyers' SUV and driving off. Here's some pics of the two as they left:

EDIT: A few hours ago Michael tweeted "what a fun day! had an awesome dunch (brunch version of lunch & dinner) with Mila! No girl has ever made me laugh the way she does...she's so adorable!"

Natalie Portman Takes a Stand Against Pornography (and Michael)

In a recent interview with the movie website Digital Cinema.com, actress Natalie Portman, while promoting her new film Black Swan, was answering a question regarding her issues with doing nudity in films. She basically said she has no problem with it as long as it is completely necessary for the role because she knows there are certain porn sites that actresses like her can end up on when doing nude scenes and she finds that degrading. The interviewer than replied "so I take it you're anti-porn" and she goes "Oh of course, I think it's appauling. It's degrading to women, it's just absolutely disgusting, it's the worst. And studies have shown that one of the side effects of porn are issues such as increases in rapes and just a general disregard for women and the female form and sexuality in general".

He then says to her "well it's funny you mention that since someone like say, actor Michael Reese Meyers, whom you worked with recently in Brotherly Love, says that porn actually decreases rapes since it gives men deemed by women as un-fuckable an outlet to release their sexual frustrations and desires, whereas say without porn, the only way they could act out their sexual fantasies or desires would be to rape. What would you say to that side of the argument, coming from a guy of course so I'm a little biased, haha". Natalie goes on to say "Look everyone has the right to their own opinions but I think he's wrong. I mean these are proven facts. The numbers don't lie. I'd like to see where he gets his numbers from that they (rapes) go down because I mean you could look at the case of that guy in New Mexico from a couple years back who admitted he raped like three or four girls and had them do sexual things he had seen in porn films and wanted them to re-enact them and that's just one example. So I mean, I know he knows alot about it I'm sure with his experience...(interviewer reminds her he just directed a film on the adult industry)...right, yea, so I mean I respect his opinion on the matter but coming from a woman, I just see it a certain way but that's just me."

Here's where it gets really interesting. The interviewer then asks "So I'm guessing your guys' opposite stance on this issue must have made for some interesting conversation on the set of that film or no...?" and Natalie very cryptically answers "well, haha, you know, we actually stayed apart during most of the filming, which was awkward because we become lovers through the course of the story, but I made it a point to kinda keep my distance from him. I dunno whether it was because our characters were supposed to be grieving or just because I've...let's just say I've heard some things about him. He has a reputation. And I wanted no part of that. I come to work and I leave it at that." When asked if she cared to elaborate she just laughed and said "nope". Uh ohh....wonder what "reputation" she is referring to? Will Michael respond to this? Let the guessing game begin....! You can watch the video of this segment of the interview above.

P.S. I have to be honest, I wasn't that big a fan of Brotherly Love (I thought Portman and Ryan Gosling terribly overracted their parts and Meyers seemed unusually...uninterested...in giving any real effort into his performance). I noticed a lack of chemistry between Meyers and Portman's characters despite the fact they were supposed to be falling in love which was a disapointment (I'm clearly not alone since the film did receive some not so pleasant reviews) and maybe this issue of them not vibing on set reveals why the chemistry was lacking. Hmm....

NEW BLOG ENTRY: "I'm Baccck!"

What's up fans? I am back from filming Quantum of Solace overseas. Filming has wrapped and I am sooo glad to be back home in Sunny L.A. I actually got back Tuesday and got to spend my third Thanksgiving in a row with an old friend, Naomi de la Fuente. What a magical evening we had, as usual. I don't think I've met a woman with a smile that can make me melt the way hers does. Our friendship means alot to me and it was good to see her and her family again since they have always been great to me and we've been very close since I lived with them briefly during the filming of The Believers. It's especially good to spend time with all of them since right now I am in the process of moving from the Laguna apartment we are neighbors in and purchasing a mansion in the Hollywood Hills. Anyway, after eating with her and her family me and her and some of her friends partied the night away at Voyuer here in L.A. Here's a photo I took on my new iPhone of Naomi (blue dress) and her friends.

Just a few quick updates as to what is going on with me:

BOND: Filming Bond was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Director Christopher Nolan has an incredible film planned for you all. This isn't your grandfather's James Bond movie. There's real heart here. It's just as much tragic love story as it is spy film. The action is insane. The opening car chase alone in Italy is SICK! You will see Bond in a way you never have before. Raw emotion. Remember this is a prequel, origin story. He does not even earn his 00 license until the final scene. Bond isn't cold...yet. He isn't sophisticated, yet. But he will be and you will see how he gets that way. He is hot headed, lonely, looking for love, and emotional. He's reckless. He makes mistakes. You'll see real reasons for why he is the way he is now. Why he says his last name first when introducing himself. Why he orders his drinks shaken and not stirred. Why he distrusts women. This film will thrill you and have you in tears by the end. Both men and women will enjoy it. They really will. Chris joked with me at the wrap party, 'don't forget to thank me when you win the Oscar'. Ha, I doubt it, but we'll see. I have never EVER put so much of myself into a character, and for the first time, I WANT people to see me up on that screen. Wearing Bond's skin of course. I hope you all see the film the way I do when it comes out June 17, 2011. Here are some photos just for you guys....

LOOK AT ME NOW: Over the next 6 weeks I will be hard at work in the editing room putting the finishing touches on my independent film I directed earlier this year starring Chandler Massey and Alley Vendetta. This film is crazy! No film has ever dug deeper into the adult film industry than this movie. My young cast do a tremendous job and I think they will become stars. If you are not watching Chandler on Days of our Lives as Will, shame on you! He is such a great actor and a very interesting person. As for Alley, what can I say? She's nuts. She's a firecracker! ADHD doesn't begin to describe her. But my life wouldn't be the same without her. She is truly one of my two best friends in the whole world (Franco the other). She really gets me. Not many people do. She is one of the deepest, coolest, most intriguing, and most genuine human beings I have ever met and so incredibly talented, musically, acting-wise, etc. She's in the process of recording a solo CD right now, as well as writing a book on her life (at 16 she has lived through stuff people four times her age shouldn't go through) and oh yea, her band Secrets and Sunsets is still on tour rockin' the nation with their awesome music. So all you TMZ people, if you see her and me out and about in L.A., don't get any ideas. I am letting her help me in the editing room and yes we hang out sometimes. Nothing more. Anyway, look for a trailer at the end of December and for the film to be in select theaters near you January 28, 2011.
MY NEW BOOK: Big news! I am writing a new book. Alley and Tyrese Gibson have inspired me to write a book. I have been going through a ton as you all know and I need to not only let it out to keep whatever sanity I have left but I also need to help others. The book will be about relationships and staying away from bad ones. It will also touch on suicide and depression. I have been doing tons and tons of research on psychology and women (partially in preparation for my role as a girl in next year's My Sister's Keeper) and partially due to my self therapy I have been doing. I vowed never to go to rehab again. I am proud to say I am strong enough to change my life on my own and I am now planning on not having sex outside of committed relationships. I no longer want to be a slave to my demons. I am growing and maturing and I know it won't be easy but I am trying. I have alot of good people in my life helping me with this and changing your life for the better means changing some of the negative people in your life. Look for the book to hit stores next summer.
-Til Next time, The Chameleon.

Michael featured in Megan Fox BIOGRAPHY

Last night on the Biography channel they did an episode on Megan Fox's life and rise to fame. Michael was featured in several parts and discussed her and their relationship in 2005 and 2006. His first main comment was "She IS, in a way, this generation's Marilyn Monroe, only for the fact that she has fabricated this image of herself as this mysterious sex vixen whose so wild and crazy when in reality, she is the sweetest, nicest, shyest, stay at home girl. It's an act. But she doesn't want people to know that because she thinks it makes her boring."

Megan and Michael at his Nov. 2005 premiere for Kingdom of Heaven

Megan and a blonde Michael take in a Lakers game in March 2006

Michael goes on to explain how they met. "I was at a party in L.A. a friend invited me to. It was a rough summer for me. Me and Kristen (Bell) had just broken up, ended our engagement. It was my first night out in a while. I saw her from across the room and thought wow, she's one of the hottest girls I've ever seen in my life. My friend I was with encouraged me to talk to her so I did and she was very sweet. We exchanged phone numbers and it went from there." He adds that "The first few months was all sex, no real relationship. It was open. We fought alot. She was partying alot, smoking weed, I was still a goody goody back then. Then I went to shoot 16 Grams and that obviously changed me. Started experimenting with drugs. We took a break. I dated Julia Fonda for a bit, then she passed away. Megan really helped me through that. She was great. But I wasn't so squeaky clean anymore. And we got back together. I thought we'd be closer than ever and we were for a while".

They dated seriously again from February 2006 to that summer when Michael went off to film Popular 3 and she got the break of a lifetime to star in Transformers. Some controversy occured when photos were taken of her grabbing the crotch of 90210 star Brian Austin Green, who visited the Transformers set. Her and Michael broke up after an angry phone call where he confronted her about the photo. There were also rumors that Megan slept with director Michael Bay to get the role in Transformers. Meyers conceded "There ARE rumors as to how she really got the role in Transformers..."

Michael concluded with saying "She was fun man. She's a fun girl. I love her. This is her time now. She is the IT girl of this era. She has entered the pop culture lexicon as the standard of beauty. Like for girls when they talk about a guy, they'll say 'well he was hot but he was no Brad Pitt'. Well with guys when they talk about a girl it's, 'well she was hot but she's no Megan Fox'. That's what she's become. But it's all been built off her looks and aura, not acting talent. So just like Marilyn Monroe, we're left wondering what else is there. Sadly with Marilyn she died before we ever got the answer to that question. But with Megan, she's still here so she has time. We'll see what she does with it and where she takes it".

Kat Von D Regrets Tattooing Meyers' Neck

Celebrity tattoo artist Kat Von D (real name Kristine Papciak) was recently on Carson Daly's show promoting her new book and mentioned Michael Reese Meyers. Meyers in October 2008 visited her famous tattoo shop in West Hollywood, California to get Mel Morley's first name inked on his neck. The experience was filmed for her E! reality show 'L.A. Ink'. Meyers during his 10 weeks of rehab that winter spent alot of time in her shop (he is seen in several episodes visiting) and became very close friends with Kat. She mentions in her Carson Daly interview how the two "are like brother and sister now" and at one point "he was there four or five days a week, just lonely, wanting to just hang out and watch". Kat calls Meyers "a very deep and troubled soul, but ultimately a good person". Regarding the Mel tattoo, as the LA Ink episode showed, Kat strongly warned Meyers not to get it. "I told him over and over, you're gonna regret it. Don't ever get someones name tattooed on you. Not even your kids". But Meyers insisted and she caved. "I regret it to this day. I turn down all kinds of tattoos all the time if I feel it isn't right because I feel it's my job as the artist to do the right thing, even if the customer wants something else. But in his case, I saw how bad he wanted it and I wanted to make him happy. But I wish I could take it back. I know down the line he will look back and wish he hadn't done it. He just has to."

Meyers to reunite with Knightley in Cameron Crowe romantic drama

According to Collider.com, Michael has recently signed on to star in the Cameron Crowe (Jerry Maguire, Elizabethtown) directed romantic affair drama "If I Had You" starring himself, Keira Knightley, Sam Worthington, and newcomer Rosie Huntington. The film is romantic drama expert Crowe's first story to take place in England. Keira and Sam play Joanna and Michael Fisher, an English husband and wife who begin to drift apart after Keira suspects her husband is having an affair with his co-worker Lara Dunn (Huntington). When Michael and Lara attend a business trip alone together, Joanna runs into her former drug addict but now successful restaurant owner and chef ex-boyfriend Nathan Hawthorne (Meyers) and the two begin to get close again. Looks like Michael will need to hold on to that British accent he is using for Bond. It's been a while since the last GOOD Cameron Crowe romantic flick. They always strike the right balance between romance and humor and drama and ALWAYS have tremendous soundtracks. While I am not exactly sold yet on Worthington and Huntington as quality actors, I am beyond stoked to see Meyers and Knightley on screen together again (especially as distant lovers who get back together) for the first time in 9 years since appearing in Bend It Like Beckham together. Count Me In. Filming is set to begin next Spring for a Fall 2011 release.

P.S. According to reports, Michael is laying low on the Bond set after the Famke Janssen drama in early October and is actually already preparing for his much buzzed about role as a female in Neil Blomkamp's The Boy Who Got Away by studying the Swedish language (apparently the film will be in Swedish with subtitles). This PHOTO was taken today of Meyers in Paris in a cafe reading a Rosetta Stone guide to learning Swedish. The film starts filming in February in Sweden and is set for release in December 2011. It also stars Daniel Day Lewis.

Michael Romancing 37 year old (and ENGAGED) Famke Janssen?

Uh Oh! He just can't seem to stay out of trouble. I guess that's why we love him right? HAHA. Tonight British tabloid cameras spotted Michael and former Bond actress Famke Janssen, who is 12 years older than Meyers (she turns 38 on December 12) leaving a restaurant in London, where Quantum of Solace is currently filming until next week before shooting switches gears to Paris. Reports have confirmed she was on set the past week at the request of actress Rhona Mitra who wanted advice from Janssen on how to play the female villainess role. Apparently Janssen spent some time with Meyers and the two were seen hand in hand and kissy and cuddly Saturday night leaving London's trendy Saturn restaurant. Janssen is engaged to writer Cole Frate and was married in 1995 to actor Todd Williams but they divorced in 2000. She has no children. This will cause a huge uproar for sure so stay tuned for the aftermath...HERE'S the site with all the pics. They are kind of dark but you can make them out if you squint...
P.S. Michael and Famke did appear in the 2009 action thriller Taken together but never met and never had a scene together. Michael filmed all his scenes in Paris, France and Famke shot all her scenes with Bruce Willis in Los Angeles.

Michael Reviews Linkin Park's New Album for Kerrang

Michael is obviously a big music fan and in an interesting development he has apparently written a review of Linkin Park's new album "Renovatio Theory" for rock music magazine Kerrang's September issue (in stands now). You can check it out HERE or read below:
ARTIST: LINKIN PARK
ALBUM: RENOVATIO THEORY
LABEL: WARNER BROS./MACHINE SHOP RECORDS
RELEASE DATE: SEPTEMBER 14, 2010
REVIEWER: MICHAEL REESE MEYERS
Rating: 4 1/2 Stars out of 5
*Review: As a Hollywood actor, music is a big part of my preparation. I am a huge music fan. Love all genres. Rap, rock, you name it. So of course a group like Linkin Park would appeal to me. I need to be honest. I used to be obsessed with Linkin Park. I almost got their band name as my first tattoo in high school. When I discovered their Hybrid Theory CD in the glove compartment of a friend's car during my junior year and played it I was hooked ever since. To this day they are one of my top rock bands of all time, along with 311, True Hollywood Story (who I've directed two music videos for), Goo Goo Dolls, Guns N Roses, Third Eye Blind, etc. I love bands that combine genres WELL. Linkin Park for a long time were the face of the rap metal/nu metal scene that started with the likes of Korn and Limp Bizkit back in the late 90's. But they stood out since they did it the best and were the most polished. Their songs were catchy, radio friendly, and combined nu metal guitars, hip hop beats and rhymes from the skilled MC Tony Shinoda, screaming and yet melodic vocals from Chester Bennington, and electronica/techno/trance influences with unique samples that gave their music an ethereal and interesting twist.
Hybrid Theory (which is regarded their best album) is regarded a classic among the rock crowd. It got them extreme success, Grammy Awards, and made them the highest selling music artist of 2001. After their Hybrid Theory remix album Reanimation in 2002 they released Conspiracy Theory, their second studio album, in 2003. That album, while good, was simply a Warner Bros. forced carbon copy of Hybrid Theory. After that was another remix album in 2004 for Conspiracy Theory called Reanimation 2.0: Collision Course (which included innovative mash ups with rapper Jay-Z's songs). By this point, the rap metal scene (and the many copycat groups it spawned, such as Adema, CrazyTown, etc.) had run its course and in some circles, became a punchline. Soon it became not so cool to like Linkin Park. Certain "softer" songs by the once raucous nu metal band made it hard to admit to being a fan.
After the 2005 release of Tony Shinoda's rap album with his rap group Styles of Beyond (which I LOVED), Linkin Park went on a mission to recreate themselves and redefine their signature sound. They dispatched longtime producer Don Gilmore and enlisted Rick Rubin to produce their third album and intended on stripping themselves of the glossy and catchy sound that made them famous and going back to their pre-record deal "rough around the edges" days in hopes of winning over detractors. They also explored their softer side a little more. In 2007 they released their third studio CD, Apocalypse Theory. The album was not well received by many critics and many hardcore fans hated it, including myself. Gone were the catchy choruses, furious raps, and memorable guitar chords of the eternally headphones clad Omar Martinez. Instead we got very melow love songs, Rage Against The Machine-esque rockers with almost acoustic/low budget level production, and strange all out computerized electronic songs without the signature "Linkin Park touch" to them. Outside of hit first single "What I've Done" (which was nominated for a Grammy and became an even bigger hit after it was featured in summer blockbuster Transformers) and slow ballad "Leave Out All The Rest", the album felt flat and had no memorable tracks or singles. I did enjoy their song "Transform" though as a great mosh track but the chorus was pretty weak. Since that point LP has only released one new song, "New Divide", for the 2009 sequel to Transformers.
Now three years since their last album the six piece Tampa, Florida rap rockers are back with what I feel is their best album to date. Yes, I said it! Renovatio Theory (Renovatio is Latin for "rebirth"), their fourth studio effort, is their finest work yet! I love this album. Every single track is totally different. No two songs sound the same. The reason for that is this is the first time they have had multiple producers on one album. The first two albums were produced by Don Gilmore (who returns this time to produce two tracks, first single Shut Your Face and Scars). The third album was produced by Rick Rubin, who is only back on Renovatio for one song, In Love With You. But there are new producers this time around, mainly One Republic (a successful rock band in their own right who have also penned and produced hits for groups such as U2, Green Day, Maroon 5 and more) and also the likes of trance DJ David Guetta (Jornada Del Muerto) and Drake hitman Noah "40" Shebib (Beat of my Drum). Hip hop producer The Alchemist produces one track (Until We Bleed). He also produced a track for their first Reanimation CD as well. An interesting addition is Ron Saint Germain, who is known for producing for reggae rock bands such as 311 and 420. Germain adds his flavor to two tracks (Waiting for the End and Come Down Low) and it really works. The rest of the tracks are produced by Shinoda himself.
This CD is experimental, yet possesses the glossy sound we have come to know and love from their first two albums. It is eclectic and yet it all somehow blends together. You can tell there are so many influences going on here. Many songs totally change tempo halfway through and end in a totally different way than they started. This CD really blows my mind and is EPIC in every way! I will go down the track list one by one and explain each song's sound and meaning:
1-"Lift Me Up" (Produced by Tony Shinoda): Mainly a 2:00 minute long intro, but it's kind of a song since it has lyrics. It starts off kind of techno/punk with a very fast paced computerized beat then quickly segues into some sort of epic choir-like inspiration chant of "Lift me up, let me go". Great epic piano in the background. It's an odd way to start an album but it sets the tone perfectly in a strange way and you almost wish it was longer.
2-"Look to the Stars" (Produced by One Republic): Very catchy and uplifting song. Sounds like something U2 would sing. All singing from Chester, no Tony (other than background vocals during the chorus). Straight forward rock. It is about someone who you lost (maybe they died) and knowing that they are still with you in spirit. The chorus sings "When I look to the stars I know just where you are, you're looking down upon me. When something old falls apart, something new has a start". A great anthem for anyone who wants to move on after losing someone close to them.
3-"In Love With You" (Produced by Rick Rubin): Despite the title, this is not a slow love song, but a very uptempo funk/rock Lenny Kravitz sounding rock jam. Tony raps the first verse and then Chester takes it from there singing the verses and chorus. Apparently Tony wrote the song for wife Christina Aguilera. It is one of the most unique and "un-Linkin Park" songs on the album but once you get over the fact that it is not like anything they have done before and just bounce with the song, it really grows on you and you rock out to it.
4-"Shut Your Face" (Produced by Don Gilmore): The first single. Man this song rocks! Maybe my favorite or second favorite song on the album. This song was made clearly as a throwback to their Hybrid Theory/Conspiracy Theory sound, much in thanks to Don Gilmore who produced those two albums, returning. Heavy guitars, Tony rapping bragodocious rhymes, catchy chorus sung/screamed by Chester, and of course DJ Hahn doing his thing scratching on the ones and twos and an Asian sample in the background behind the hip hop backbeat. Definite party track you will blast loud in your car or at the house and a great choice as first single to show die hard fans they still know how to rock old school Linkin Park style. What I found interesting is the rap lyric Tony says in the first verse where he goes "leave the rap rock chit chat alone". You can tell he wants the band to evolve into something more than a rap metal outfit and speaks of their old style in the same way an alcoholic may speak of a bottle of Vodka (something he funnily mentions in the opening lyric), but will die hard fans still accept them if they fully leave that style behind?
5-"Blame It On Me" (Produced by Tony Shinoda): An ok song. Not too crazy about it. Tony raps the verses and Chester screams the chorus (which is basically him shouting Why You Gotta Always Blame It On Me?" over and over). Simple bass line and hip hop beat with a soft guitar sample guiding the flow of the song. Kinda sounds like an Eminem type rap beat with some interesting samples in the background to add texture. Tony does give a few vintage punchlines like when he says in the second verse "The game's got an hour, Bauer, Jack time". I liked that part. Overall, a chill out song you can kinda bounce your head to. It grows on you.
6-"Until We Bleed" (Produced by The Alchemist): One of the best songs on the album and one of Linkin Park's best songs ever. A rap track with only Tony doing the verses and chorus. Sounds like something he would have made for his Styles of Beyond album. The song touches on many deep topics including cutting, government corruption, what has happened to the music industry, lost love, but the song's main subject matter seems to be about marijuana. Yes this is a weed smokers anthem. The song just has a very "chill out and puff weed" vibe to it and weed is mentioned constantly in the song. What makes the track stand out is the sample of a child (or children) singing some refrain in the background (which includes the title of the song). Very cool laid back hip hop track to get high too.
7-"Same Old Road" (Produced by One Republic): A classic. Simple as. One of Linkin Park's best songs EVER and I pray/know it will be a single and one of their most memorable and timeless songs. You can't listen to this song and not be in tears by the end of it. If you've ever had a broken heart, been rejected, been in a dysfunctional relationship, this song is for you. It sounds like a mix between Oasis, Depeche Mode, and The Cure. The guitar is simple and mostly acoustic throughout and the lyrics are haunting. It starts with rain sound effects and the rain drops actually become part of the BEAT of the song! Brilliant! Chester's harmonies with Tony on the adlibs are beautiful and they even hint back to their Grammy winning song "Crawling" with the refrain "crawling back in" during the second half of the song. The chorus is beautiful and one of the catchiest choruses of the last 15 years. Just an amazing amazing song. Fans will Love It!
8-"Sing Through The Fire" (Produced by Tony Shinoda): Sadly LP follows up arguably the CD's best track with it's worst track. My least favorite song on the album. Very skippable. Most might not like it. It is about how music can help you get through hard times. Tony raps in a very slow, almost talking style on the verses over a very sparse techno/sample filled beat that is very very slow and Chester sings the chorus, which has a very 80's Duran Duran sound. Just an odd mix. Sorry but this song will put you to sleep if you run out of Ambien. Tony does mention the 24 TV show again when he raps "Battle scars, fight the power, 24 seven, Jack Bauer". And as he did in first single "Shut Your Face" he throws in a Public Enemy reference or two. The song may not gel with fans right away but end up being one of those songs you only care about when the day comes when you are very depressed and need something like this to listen to. Think Kanye's 808's and Heartbreak, Linkin Park-style.
9-"Scars" (Produced by Don Gilmore): One of the two rap rock tracks on the CD (along with first single "Shut Your Face") that bring Linkin Park back to their Hybrid Theory/Conspiracy Theory roots. Classic Linkin Park party track right here. Turn this motherfucker up! Fat beat, cool samples, and very very catchy. Heaviest guitars on the album (it gets CRAZY, especially during the second verse, you'd think you were listening to Slipknot or something). Best mosh song on the CD. Tony raps the verses and Chester screams (and i mean SCREAMSSSS!!!) the chorus with Tony rapping something underneath his screams. Vintage Linkin Park right here. DJ Hahn returns with some cool scratching and the drum beat and bass dropouts always switching around really keeps the listener on their toes and shows that LP still haven't lost their touch on how to make a rap metal song entertain from start to finish. What is interesting is the guitar riff used on this song was originally the Intro track on their last album, Apocalypse Theory. They simply took the intro, made it longer, and put lyrics to it. Bravo.
10-"Beat Of My Drum" (Produced by Noah "40" Shebib): Best song on the album In My Opinion because it is the most unique/experimental but in a GREAT WAY. This song will divide many fans. It's Linkin Park doing R&B!!! Yes you heard me correct. R&B beat, love song, autotune. But it works! You'd think someone produced this for Drake or Chris Brown but accidentally e-mailed it to Linkin Park and Shinoda heard it and went "We Can Do This!". The reason for that is the song was produced and co-written by "40", who does most of Drake's hit songs. Tony sings the first verse and the chorus and the bridge. Chester sings the second verse. Tony then raps at the end of the song after the smooth R&B beat turns into some sort of African congo marching drum beat (which perfectly fits with the chorus which sings "I'mma make you march to the beat of my drum"). The sexiest (yes sexiest) song on the album and the most interesting and "outside of the box" song Linkin Park has ever done, EVER! I can't stop listening to it. Should be very very interesting to hear fans' reaction to this one but one thing's for sure, it's the track you would play when making love to your boyfriend/girlfriend, LOL!
11-"Jornada Del Muerto" (Produced by David Guetta): Very computerized sounding slow/love song. Hard to describe, you just have to hear it. Very unique sound for Linkin Park. Very experimental. Think Enrique Iglesias meets Owl City, produced by DJ Tiesto (or in this case DJ Guetta). The beat is almost nonexistent (it's mainly Chester singing over claps) but starts almost trance-like in the beginning with the lyrics being sung in spanish. Apparently Chester wrote it for his new wife (who is of Mexican heritage). A track that grows on you each time you hear it, especially if you enjoy hearing LP explore their electronica side. A really soothing song to relax to if you find yourself chilling by a sunrise with someone special.
12-"Waiting For The End" (Produced by Ron St. Germain): One of my favorites on the album and takes LP to a newer more mature level. Think The Beatles meets 311. Yes I just said that. The verses, which are rapped by Shinoda, have a very summer, happy, 311 reggae bounce to them and the chorus sung by Chester sounds like something straight out of the Beatles bag of tricks. Very catchy, sugary sweet chorus about love and peace and all that good hippie stuff. Die hard fans may scream "sell out" or "corny" or "where's the anger"?...but I think this is the sound and direction Tony wants the band to go in and if so, I like it. These guys are mostly married and in their 30's now. Millionaires who have toured the world. They can't be angry angst ridden teenagers forever.
13-"Come Down Low" (Produced by Ron St. Germain): Rumored to be the second single. I'm ok with that. Radio will love this. Very cool song that flips the usual Linkin Park formula of Tony rapping the verses and Chester singing the hook. This time it's reverse. The verses have a very fast uptempo punk/techno beat and Chester sing/rapping the lyrics very quickly and aggressively. Then Tony comes in to SING during the chorus and everything kinda slows down, but it's beautiful. The harmony is gorgeous and it is very catchy and almost Beach Boys-like. It's an awkward mix but it somehow fits. The best part of the song is this really cool breakbeat/scratching computerized section that concludes the song which sounds alot like something Linkin Park would have done for one of their Reanimation remix CD's and once again allows DJ Hahn to show off his skills. A well done track that seemlessly blends the old sound Linkin Park is known for and the new sound they clearly want to become known for.
14-"Let It Go" (Produced by One Republic): Not much to say about the final "song" on the album. It's kinda sweet and nice and all but ultimately forgettable. It's a somewhat catchy and beautiful slow song about how you need to let go of all the dark stuff in your past in order to be happy with your future and move on with life. Very simple and uplifting happy positive song sung by Chester (Tony sings a LITTLE at the beginning). Think "Leave Out All The Rest" Part 2 but not quite as good.
15-"Wisdom, Justice, and Love" (Produced by Tony Shinoda): This last track is not a song, but just an interlude which features a very computerized sounding Martin Luther King talking about fighting government corruption, racism, poverty, injustice, war, and other topics that are bad. It does have some ominous and sad music behind it and subtle scratches from Mr. Hahn, although I doubt this is supposed to be his usual "DJ scratching solo track" he always gets on the albums. Very interesting way to end the album and it definitely makes you think.
Overall I'd say this is their best CD yet or at least AS GOOD AS Hybrid Theory. It really runs the gamut of emotions. The first three songs are very happy and positive and uplifting, the next two are typical LP anger and angst, followed by three straight sad depressing tracks, one last angry song, and then from tracks 10 onward it's a happy love fest. Linkin Park has made their comeback album after the lackluster Apocalypse Theory and I believe Renovatio will be well received and seen as one of their better works. It is glossy yet fresh, experimental yet familiar. It shows their growth as artists. Their last album showed their frustration with being trapped in a genre that had seen its hey day (and it's expiration date come and go) and wanted to break free but they tried too hard and reached too far in order to destroy who they were. But now the most innovative band in music, the only band that can touch ANY genre and make it sound their own (even all within one song), is back. They are more mature and more confident in their own skin than ever before, and finally have something to say with all their suburban angst.

Meyers and Patridge Officially Broken Up; Audrina Statement

Well it's been confirmed. EOnline is reporting that Michael and Audrina have split up. Sounds like things were not going well. We learned last week the two had been fighting constantly on the set of the latest Bond film and it all came to a head on Thursday when they had to be seperated and asked to leave the film set. Now Patridge has made a statement through her representatives saying "There was no physical abuse or attack by either party. Just verbal insults. Every couple fights. We just couldn't see eye to eye on many things. One issue was us moving in together. He wanted it but I thought it was too soon. Another issue was me not trusting if he was truly over a certain ex(girlfriend). I think he's obsessed with her. I think Michael (Reese Meyers) needs major psychological help if he expects to find true love. I wish him the best." Gee, I wonder who this ex-girlfriend is she may be talking about LOL? Stay tuned for more info as we get it....

Michael Thrown Off QoS set for Argument with Audrina

Michael just cant seem to stay out of trouble! Reports from EOnline.com and PopEater.com have confirmed that on Aug. 26 on the set of Quantum of Solace in London, Meyers and girlfriend Audrina Patridge got into a heated argument that got them both booted off set. According to reports, Audrina has been spending time on set since filming began but the two have been fighting constantly on set. It got to a point in fact where it was so bad that director Chris Nolan apparently according to a source had to sit Meyers down in his office at one point to warn him that if the distractions continue, she'd be asked to leave. The two, who have been dating since May (and first dated back in October 2008, albeit very briefly), apparently got into a heated shouting match on Thursday night in Meyers' dressing room and things got out of hand, which is when crew stepped in. "We heard very loud shouting and screaming, from both him (Meyers) and her (Audrina)" says a grip who was working nearby when the commotion broke out. "We heard a frighteningly loud shout come from Michael and so we rushed in there and saw him and her in each other's faces, really going at it" adds another crew member. Three crew members seperated Meyers and Patridge and security was called. Both were asked to remove themselves from the set. "I just recall Audrina being very hysterical and angry, just absolutely livid, about, something, I have no idea what. And Michael was extremely angry as well and looked like he was ready to kill someone. He just didnt look right. They both just lost it. They snapped. Who knows what they would have done to each other if we hadnt broken it up?" says the grip, who chose to remain anonymous. As far as we know filming is not delayed and is scheduled to continue on Saturday, August 28. Stay tuned as I am SURE there is MUCH more to this story....

On Set Photos from the first week of Filming

We have a slew of pictures from behind the scenes of the first week of filming for Quantum of Solace. Many feature Michael, one has Judi Dench, another has Rachel Stevens. Here are a few of them.
