Deadline reported today that 21 year old Croatian actress Nina Caralynko has officially been announced as the first Bond Girl cast in 2013's MoneyBall. No word yet on her character but she did release this statement via her agent: "It is the honor of a lifetime to be named a Bond Girl and I thank the Broccoli's, Mr. Mendes, and everyone involved in giving me this amazing opportunity. I look forward to becoming a part of the storied 007 legacy and working with my favorite actor right now, Michael Reese Meyers." Do not be alarmed that she is a new face. Bond films from time to time are known to take on new actresses and expose them to the world. Nina has acted before in mostly small independent Croatian films. She is also quite the interesting human being. According to her Facebook, she enjoys "rock climbing, hitch hiking, couch surfing, bungee jumping, cooking, and traveling the world". She sounds like quite the random risk taker and adventurer. Let's hope she is also a good actress.
