Judi Dench going blind...Moneyball will be her last Bond film

Legendary British actress Dame Judi Dench announced today that due to her failing eye sight, Moneyball will be her final James Bond film. She has been portraying 007's boss 'M' since 1996's 'GoldenEye'. Moneyball will be her sixth turn as the iconic character. Her disease, known as macular degeneration, currently makes it difficult for her to make out a face more than a few feet away from her and she can no longer read her own scripts. She states her illness is being written into Moneyball and that her and Bond will share some very emotional scenes as she steps down from her position. "This franchise has been a wonderful part of my career and I plan on making as graceful an exit as possible" she says. Dench does plan to continue her acting career. The 77-year-old told the U.K.'s Daily Mirror that "as long as there is a possibility of working I'm not going to retire because if I retire nothing will work any more and it's hard enough as it is". Doctors predict her vision will be completely gone by the end of the year.
