First Poster for Brotherly Love released!

So today we finally get a poster for Michael's upcoming September drama Brotherly Love. Pretty interesting poster. Gosling, Portman, and Meyers are all involved in some threeway kiss sorta thing and they each have their eyes covered with some type of act of sin. As the top shows us, recently "retired" actor Joaquin Phoenix (whom Meyers acted with in The Village and Ring of Fire) is the director of the film. September 24 is the release date. If you don't already know the plot, it's about a Philadelphia (city of "brotherly love", get it?) mob family (headed by father Sam Shephard). The two sons are Sam (Gosling) and adopted son Tommy (Meyers). Tommy hates their father's mob past and is a shy, mild mannered cop whose wife died in a drunk driving accident a year ago. Sam, the hot head, has a criminal past and has decided to join the army. His wife Jenna is played by Natalie Portman. When Sam is off fighting the war in Iraq, he is presumed dead and during the interim time, Tommy and Jenna start an affair. They soon find out Sam is alive and is being sent home. When he finds out about the affair, which they try to keep secret for a long time, his reaction is explosive. The film is based off a novel, and even though it sounds like the Affleck/Beckinsale/Hartnett triangle in Pearl Harbor, it promises to be so much better (we can only hope!). No word yet on when we can expect a trailer but the buzz is both Gosling and Portman could get awards considerations. Lookin' good so far!
-Tidbit: Meyers originally accepted Gosling's role Sam when the script was sent to him in 2007 but he chose to do The Best Tears and left the project (which had a different supporting cast and director at the time). The project went on the shelf and came around again 2 years later, this time with Phoenix directing and Gosling and Portman already cast and Meyers taking the Tommy role since he already played a soldier in Miracle At St. Anna and wanted to "play a goody two shoes, nice guy for once".
